This April, join us for a fabulous week of Camp-To-Go! With a blend of virtual instruction and hands-on activities, this creative program for kids ages 7 to 12 brings the arts directly to your home, providing your kids with an unforgettable interactive learning experience.
From painting to Perler bead design, Camp-To-Go features a live 90-minute virtual creative Zoom session every day inspired by the work of a diversity of artists. The best part? You’ll receive all the supplies you need to follow along! Supply kits can be picked up prior to the start of camp and contain materials to be used in art-making over the course of five days. The cost for Camp-To-Go including materials, instruction and facilitation is $100. Our morning sessions (10:30 am to 12 pm) are full but there are still a few spots for our afternoon sessions (1 pm to 2:30 pm)!

Inspired by Dene artist Catherine Blackburn’s armour and regalia composed of Perler beads on view in the exhibition New Age Warriors, the AGG invites youth ages 13 to 15 to join us for a three-day workshop exploring ideas of art and identity, designing and crafting their own personal medallions and wristbands from Perler beads. Featured at the first ever Toronto Indigenous Fashion Week in 2018, Blackburn’s colourful garments challenge stereotypes through creative expression. The cost for the workshop is $40 and includes a kit with supplies that can be picked up in advance of the event.

Technical Requirements for Virtual Programs: A computer, tablet or other device is required with an internet or data connection. A Zoom test connection is recommended prior to camp beginning. A webcam and microphone on the device are encouraged, but campers can follow along without those two components. A secure link for the daily connection will be sent the week before camp begins with our camp newsletter and parents will be kept updated as to the materials and tools that will be used for each day’s activities!
