On Thursday, August 26, at 6:30 pm, the Art Gallery of Guelph hosted a virtual conversation with Emmanuel Osahor about the issues informing the exhibition For a moment. Coalescing in lush paintings of gardens, these spaces speak to both the universality of the search for safe refuge as well as ongoing colonial practices that intensify cultural marginalization. The artist is joined by Amin Alsaden, a curator, scholar, and educator whose work focuses on transnational exchanges of ideas and expertise across cultural boundaries.
