Get Wonderific at AGG on Family Day!
Children of all ages and adults who are young at heart are invited to the Art Gallery of Guelph on Monday, February 20 for an afternoon of free Family Day activities from noon to 5 pm. Inspired by the experience of silence, sound, and sight in our current exhibitions, AGG offers a series of organized and self-guided activities throughout the afternoon.
Self-guided program | 12-5 pm
Pick up your “Passport to Art” at the information desk at any time and take a journey around the gallery on a search-and-find scavenger hunt! Or peruse the current exhibitions at your leisure.
Organized activities | 1 pm & 3 pm start times
Screenings of “All Together Now,” a short video (approx 8 mins) created by Guelph artist Dawn Matheson in collaboration with 6 Deaf+ children, who teach viewers how to sign their favourite words in ASL! Learn to sign your own name or craft words using Gallaudet True Text (the handshape font) tiles.
Perfect for elementary-school aged children, all materials provided by AGG!
Power Tours | 2 pm & 4 pm start times (30 mins)
Guided tours of current exhibitions including A Sense of Wonder, Colin Carney: Presence, and Contrarieties and Counterpoints: Recent Paintings by Melanie Authier
AGG is open from noon to 5 pm on Family Day. Join us for a day of wonder!
