Curatorial/Collections Assistant

The Art Gallery of Guelph seeks a dynamic, competent, detail-oriented candidate to undertake research and community engagement to support the gallery's exhibition planning and to work efficiently both independently and within teams. Knowledge of diverse cultural practices and post-secondary training in visual arts is an asset, as well as strong critical thinking and superior written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to thrive in a collaborative environment. Confidence and ability to speak to members of the public (all ages, in small and large groups) is an asset. Educational Program Assistants
June 3 – August 23, 2024
The Art Gallery of Guelph seeks three outgoing, competent, detail-oriented candidates who will deliver educational programs from planning through implementation. The following tasks are central to the position: understanding of sector trends in educational engagement, public engagement, program and event development based on AGG strategic priorities, research into AGG art collections for relevant themes to inform programs, program and event development, planning, implementation, and management, as well as reporting and documentation of educational programs.
