The Art Gallery of Guelph is the place for summer camping! This year, give your child the opportunity to explore creativity like never before at the AGG’s week-long art camps. With seven unique weeks of hands-on artmaking, all campers aged 7 to 12 will be introduced to “the works” to hone their art skills in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and more, creating their own masterpieces to be shown off at weekly mini art openings and taken home to cherish. See descriptions for each week of camp below.
Activating the AGG’s world-class art collection and beautiful natural surroundings, each camp offers an exceptional and transformative experience. Whether you choose one week or more, each will feature new activities, ensuring fresh and exciting opportunities for all. From the emerging to the more experienced young artists, Camp Create is designed to broaden both their artistic skills and understanding of art’s role in the world.
Check back on January 21 when registration opens and register early to avoid disappointment! Children slightly above the age range are welcome with the understanding that lessons are tailored to the specified age group. To ensure an optimal experience for all campers, we kindly ask parents to adhere to the minimum age requirement.
We are committed to providing a positive, inspiring, and safe experience for all campers. A Camp Create Caregiver Guidebook that includes health and safety procedures will be released in June 2025. Please note that AGG plans new activities each year and each day for campers, so descriptions are subject to variation. To be the first to know our camp news and much more, sign up for our monthly e-newsletter. We can’t wait to see your child’s creativity come to life this summer!
This program is organized and presented by the Art Gallery of Guelph with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council an agency of the Government of Ontario.
