Calling all students! Take a break from exams and bring your friends to the Art Gallery of Guelph on Tuesday, December 3rd for a relaxing afternoon of creativity! Use paper, glue, and scissors to create your own artwork inspired by the exhibition Entrelazados: Justin Favela, currently on view at the AGG. Drop in to the gallery anytime between 12–5 pm to unwind and contribute to collective community cut paper banners (papel picado) and murals that will be displayed at the gallery. No experience needed and no registration necessary.

Projects are inspired by the artwork currently on view by artist Justin Favela who uses everyday materials to “make something out of nothing,” as he describes it, producing his distinctive mash-ups of traditional and popular culture. Learn more about traditional and contemporary paper art practices from Latin America, an opportunity to recognize the cultures and contributions of these communities that have indelibly enriched our collective experiences.

Come for crafting, stay for the cookies and refreshments!

The gallery is located at 358 Gordon St, behind the Begging Bear statue. A limited number of free parking spots are available in the lot beside and behind the gallery with an entrance off Gordon Street, just north of College Avenue.
