Join us for a unique performance by the Guelph Symphony Orchestra, part of a week-long series of 45-minute concerts presented in imaginative, unexpected, and less formal settings throughout the city. In response to AGG’s current exhibition Yours in Native Spirit: Richard Bedwash, the program will include a selection by Andrew Balfour, a composer of Cree descent who was separated from his community during the Sixties Scoop, experiencing cultural displacement like Richard Bedwash. The concert will also include an art-inspired performance of Dinuk Wijeratne’s The Disappearance of Lisa Gherardini that tells the story of the real-life theft of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa from the Louvre Museum in 1911.

More information on the concerts can be found on the GSO’s website.
