ARTICRAFT – Giving you something to talk about!
ARTICRAFT Raised Over $70,000 in Proceeds
GUELPH – We curated a top-notch exhibition. We created an auction event that folks are still talking about. Auctioneer Stephen Ranger sold 34 artworks by Contemporary Guelph artists to art collectors from near and far. The Chefs of University of Guelph Hospitality Services and the Brewmasters of F&M Brewery (StoneHammer Beer) jointly created an outstanding food and drink experience. We threw in some surprises (thank you Leonardo!), captured the night’s ‘Mona Lisa smiles,’ and concluded the event with a spectacular door prize giveaway to one lucky ticket holder. And we had a whole lotta fun doing it!
ART/CRAFT raised over $70,000 in proceeds to support MSAC exhibition, publishing, and event programming. Together with support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council, these funds enable MSAC to feature exibitions by important artists from this region and to bring exhibitions by national and international artists to Guelph. Upcoming in 2015: Kate Wilhelm Yes These Bones Shall Live (Jan 22 – Mar 29) and Kelly Richardson Terrene (Jan 22 Mar 29).
For MSAC, ART/CRAFT was about bringing together our community of artists and art collectors, sponsors and guests, patrons and art lovers alike in benefit of Guelph’s public art gallery and Sculpture Park. Thank you to the artists who generously donated their work and to our corporate sponsors who partnered with MSAC in so many meaningful ways. Thank you, friends, for joining us at ART/CRAFT.
