February 14, 2022 – The Art Gallery of Guelph (AGG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Patti Broughton as Finance and Operations Manager. With a background in cultural management, Broughton holds an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo with a specialization in Arts Administration, a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Niagara College, and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.

In addition to past positions with the Centre for the Arts – Brock University, Shaw Festival, St. Catharines & Area Arts Council, and the Colony of Avalon Foundation in Ferryland, Newfoundland and Labrador, she has served as Executive Director of Guelph Arts Council since 2015, where she developed a deep appreciation for Guelph and its creative community. “I’m delighted to join the staff team and to embark on a new professional adventure at the Art Gallery of Guelph as Finance and Operations Manager,” states Broughton. “Since arriving in Guelph seven years ago, it has been a great privilege to get to know and to support the creative people and organizations within Guelph’s cultural sector. I’m looking forward to continuing to learn and grow at this renowned institution and in this remarkable community.”

Broughton will begin her new role in late March, with a focus on financial activities, facilities, human resources, and strategic initiatives. “We are thrilled to welcome Patti to the Art Gallery of Guelph,” says Executive Director Shauna McCabe. “She will bring invaluable experience and insight to this position that plays an integral role within the gallery’s operations.”
