Catherine Chan: Fractures and Futures
Join us for a conversational walkthrough of the exhibition Fractures and Futures with artist Catherine Chan, whose work draws on her background in fine arts as well as biogeography and soil science. Learn about how she combines photography and geological materials in her installations to delve into ideas of deep time, exploring the convergence of Earth’s historical epochs and eras with more ephemeral moments of human experience.

This exhibition represents the culmination of two years of focused work in the University of Guelph’s Master of Fine Arts program. The Art Gallery of Guelph’s annual exhibitions of graduating MFA students are presented in conjunction with the School of Fine Art and Music at the University of Guelph.
