Join the AGG Volunteer Association on Thursday, March 20, at 12:00 pm for a talk by Aidan Ware, Director and Chief Curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery in Owen Sound. She will explore Thomson’s life and mysterious death and discuss how his legacy informs the museum’s work. Prior to joining the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Ware was Director of Cambridge Art Galleries, Director of Gallery Stratford, and served as the Coordinator of Education and Development at the Art Gallery of Guelph.

The AGG’s permanent collection includes The Drive, one of Thomson’s most significant paintings, which depicts Algonquin Park as an environment shaped by industry and human impact—a recurring subject in his work.
